Sylvia Abramczuk was a bloody difficult woman.
Above all the complications of family we held one powerful connection together.
We both made our living with hard won skills of hand and eye.
My mother-in-law for thirty-five years left us a legacy that included secrets and a house overflowing with stuff.
This included the remnants of sixty years of working cloth; from couture to turning collars.
The images are an attempt to document and record the absence amongst the objects.
